BDX Watchdog DE is a Battle Drill Exercise in America's Army: Proving Grounds, focused on destruction of a target.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Watchdog centers around a large, complex central structure, the objective on the middle floor in the back of the complex. Assault and Defense must choose carefully what areas of the structure and surrounding areas to engage, moving from cover to cover and addressing several angles of exposure at any given time. Watchdog tests a team's ability to take contact and communicate enemy positioning, then reorganize and respond effectively.

Assault's mission is to breach the structure and arm the bomb, then defend it to make sure it goes off. This is best done by a coordinated team that has controlled and diverted the Defense team. Defense, therefore, is most successful when they stay coordinated and keep track of the objective.
